A Jammu and Kashmir court on Tuesday awarded BJP leader Vikram Randhawa for allegedly making disparaging comments on social media against Muslims and Kashmiris (Vikram Randhawa V / s UT of JandK by I / C SHO Trikuta Police Station Nagar, Jammu), released on bail The trial Judge Jammu Ashwani Kumar Sharma granted Randhawa temporary bail on the condition that he be available for questioning by the police if necessary or to threaten or mislead witnesses in the case.

“It is ordered that, in the event of his arrest, the applicant be released on interim bail upon furnishing a surety bond in the amount of Rs. 25,000 to the satisfaction of the In-charge Police Station, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, and a personal bond in the same amount, provided that the applicant is not involved in any offence punishable by imprisonment for more than 05 years, or any other offence triable by Special Judge or under the NDPS Act, or Forest Acreage Act. The Jammu and Kashmir Police had registered an initial intelligence report (FIR) against Randhawa under Sections 295A (Violation of religious sentiment) and 505 (Increased class enmity) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). )for allegedly disparaging comments against Muslims. The FIR came forward after a video on social media of Vikram Randhawa allegedly making disparaging comments against Muslims and asking them to “skin them alive” after the Pakistani cricket team beat India in the Cup game. of the T20 World went viral.
