The Jammu and Kashmir Police had registered an initial intelligence report (FIR) against Randhawa under Sections 295A (Violation of religious sentiment) and 505 (Increased class enmity) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). )for allegedly disparaging comments against Muslims. The FIR came forward after a video on social media of Vikram Randhawa allegedly making disparaging comments against Muslims and asking them to “skin them alive” after the Pakistani cricket team beat India in the Cup game. of the T20 World went viral.
