Appointment forged certificate: J&K government terminates judicial officer's employment

On the recommendation of the entire court of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, the government of Jammu and Kashmir has terminated the employment of judicial officer Mohammad Yousuf Allai.

“The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor is pleased to order Mr Mohammad Yousuf Allai, Civil Judge (Jr. Division)/Munsiff (under suspension) with immediate effect on the recommendation of the Hon’ble Full Court of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, according to the order.

According to authorities, Allai was appointed in 2000, but another judicial officer, Javid Ahmad Geelani, filed a lawsuit against him, stating that Allai was appointed on the basis of a forged certificate.

After the court found in Geelani’s favour, the case was sent to the High Court’s entire court for further proceedings.
