Manipur Office Of Profit Case: Governor Yet To Decide On ECI Opinion About Disqualification Of 12 BJP MLAs, Congress MLA tells SC

The MLA of the  Congress Manipur had to urge before the Supreme Court on the 26th of July for the expeditious decision that was given by the Governor in the context of disqualification of 12  BJP Members of the Legislative Assembly under Article 192 of the constitution just to be hold the office of the profit on their appointment as the Parliamentary Secretaries.

This writ petition was filed by D.D. Thaisii, who is the Congress MLA from Manipur. The bench of Justices L. Nageswara Rao and Aniruddha Bose was hearing this writ petition.

The MLA sought a direction to the Election commission just to perform its Constitutional Obligation under Article 192 and then to submit its opinion as to the disqualification of the governor in the interest of justice and also to maintain the purity of the city of Manipur’s Legislative Assembly.

The bench had listed this matter on Monday and all those connected SLP’s by the state of Manipur and some other MLA’s against the judgement of the High court of Manipur for final disposal.
