Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan remanded to 1 day NCB custody

Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection with the possession of banned drugs on a cruise off the coast of Mumbai and was booked under sections 8(C) read with 20, 27 and 35 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 

The raid was conducted by the officials of NCB Mumbai on 2nd October 2021 on the Cordelia Cruise on its way from Mumbai to Goa. A total of 8 people including Aryan Khan were detained thereafter in connection with the seizure of 5gms of MD(mephedrone), 21 grams of charas, 13 grams of cocaine, 22 pills of MDMA(ecstasy) and Rs 1,33,000 at the International Cruise Terminal, Mumbai. 

The 23-year-old is arrested along with Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant and have been taken by the police for a medical checkup.

Khan has been remanded with one-day NCB custody. 

 “Your honour may take me in custody and detain me for one day in order to complete the investigation and do whatever needs to be done as I am neither found in possession nor is there any allegation of consumption. None of the sections under sec 37 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act attract the embargo. “, submitted by Satish Maneshinde, Khan’s lawyer. Maneshinde also submitted that he will tender the bail application before the regular court tomorrow.
