About the Internship :
IZEL LEGAL is opening applications from law students for its Online 4-Week Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Internship Programme. Unlike conventional internships, this programme focuses on real-world analysis, commercial understanding, and practical problem-solving. Participants will explore how Intellectual Property functions in everyday business, analyse contemporary legal developments, engage in discussions on emerging IP issues, and understand how organisations strategically commercialise their IP assets.
Eligibility :
(i) Be law students in the third year or above or recent law graduates.
(ii) Have good communication skills and attention to detail.
(iii) Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
(iv) Strong interest in IPR
(v) Strong research and writing skills.
Responsibilities:
(i) Filing and prosecution of trademark and copyright applications
(ii) Handling opposition, rectification and related proceedings before the Trade Mark Registry
(iii) Drafting notices, pleadings, written submissions and other litigation-related documentation
(iv) Legal research, portfolio management and compliance with statutory deadlines.
(v) Drafting plaints, written statements, writ petitions, affidavits, appeals and related court pleadings.
(vi) Assisting in commercial agreements, advisory work and dispute resolution matters.
(vii) Appearances before the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Registry, District Courts and the High Court.
