About the Job :
Chandhiok & Mahajan is seeking talented and driven lawyers to join its growing Technology, Digital &AI practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for legal professionals with a strong foundation in technology law to work at the forefront of India’s rapidly evolving digital regulatory landscape advising marquee clients on cutting-edge issues spanning artificial intelligence, data protection, fintech, and emerging technology policy.
Eligibility :
(i) 2–6 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in TMT or technology-related legal practice.
(ii) Strong understanding of Indian and global data protection and privacy laws.
(iii) Knowledge of Technology Laws, AI governance frameworks, fintech regulations, e-commerce laws, media laws, and telecom regulations.
(iv) Excellent analytical and legal research skills, especially in handling emerging and complex legal issues.
(v) Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance legal risks with business objectives.
(vi) Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating legal and commercial agreements.
(vii) Effective communication and negotiation skills with the ability to interact confidently with clients, senior stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
(viii) Proactive mindset with keen interest in tracking legal and policy developments in the technology space
Responsibility :
(i) Advise clients on regulatory compliance across IT/ITeS, data privacy, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, consumer protection, digital advertising, telecom licensing, and digital media.
(ii) Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts and technology-related agreements.
(iii) Monitor and analyze regulatory and policy developments from authorities such as MeitY, MIB, I4C, telecom regulators, and the Data Protection Board of India.
(iv) Support policy advocacy initiatives and assist clients in aligning their business strategies with upcoming technology laws.
(V) Stay updated on global and domestic AI regulations, including ethical AI frameworks and algorithmic transparency.
(vi) Prepare client alerts, internal memos, and training materials on legal developments in technology law.
(vii) Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice by simplifying complex regulatory frameworks into actionable insights.
