About the Job :
Nilaya Legal has announced an opening for the position of Associate for its Corporate & Commercial and Venture Capital Practice. The role is intended for legal professionals who are interested in advising fast-growing businesses and founders on corporate and commercial transactions.
Eligibility :
(i) Experience appearing before District Courts and High Courts.
(ii) 1–3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
(iii) Exposure to venture capital investments, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), or joint venture (JV) transactions.
(iv) Good understanding of corporate laws, FEMA, RBI regulations, and data privacy.
(v) Sound understanding of court procedures and legal protocols
(vi) Excellent legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
(vii) Exposure to startups or venture-backed companies is desirable.
Responsibility :
(i) Corporate and Commercial advisory.
(ii) Venture Capital transactions.
(iii) Private equity and investment matters.
(iv) Mergers and acquisitions.
(v) Strategic corporate transactions.
