About the Job :
Obhan Mason is inviting applications for the position of Associate in its Mumbai office for lawyers with 4–6 years of experience in media and entertainment transactions, commercial litigation, and intellectual property-related matters.
The role is suited for legal professionals with experience in commercial transactions within the media and entertainment sector, coupled with exposure to commercial litigation. The selected candidate will work on transaction structuring, contract negotiations, legal risk assessments, and litigation matters with a particular focus on intellectual property and information technology disputes.
Eligibility :
(i) Strong drafting and court appearance skills
(ii) Candidate should have the ability to prepare a brief and have strong drafting skills.
(iii) 4–6 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
(iv) Excellent written and spoken English
(v) Experience in commercial transactions in the media and entertainment sector.
(vi) Strong legal research, drafting, and communication skills.
Responsibility :
(i) Conduct legal risk assessments.
(ii) Draft, structure, and negotiate commercial transactions and agreements in the media and entertainment sector.
(iii) Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis
(iv) Brief and assist seniors in hearings and trials
(v) Manage commercial litigation matters, particularly those involving IP and IT disputes.
(vi) Draft pleadings and legal submissions.
