About the Job :
SAFFRON Magicworks is hiring a full-time Legal Associate for its legal and business affairs team. The role offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of law, intellectual property, content creation, and the entertainment industry across theatrical, television, and digital platforms.
Eligibility :
(i) LL.B. from a recognised university and enrolment with a State Bar Council.
(ii) 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred; fresh candidates may also apply.
(iii) Strong understanding of copyright, intellectual property, licensing, and allied rights.
(iv) Excellent drafting, research, communication, and organisational skills.
(v) Strong commercial judgment, attention to detail, and negotiation skills.
(vi) Ability to work independently and collaborate with creative, business, finance, and production teams.
Responsibility :
(i) Feature films, digital and streaming content, and unscripted programming.
(ii) Intellectual property development, acquisition, and protection.
(iii) Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating content acquisition, talent, writer, director, production, licensing, and commercial agreements.
(iv) Identifying legal risks and proposing practical, commercially sound solutions.
(v) Coordinating with internal teams and external counterparties on legal and business matters.
