About the Job :
People For Animals Public Policy Foundation (PFA-PPF) is a policy and research organisation working in the animal welfare space. PFA-PPF is inviting applications for the position of Legal Consultant. The role will involve legal advocacy, policy research and engagement with government authorities in the areas of animal protection, environmental and food safety law.
Eligibility :
(i) Applicants should have at least three years of relevant litigation experience.
(ii) Applicants should have exposure to the Supreme Court, Delhi High Court and/or National Green Tribunal.
(iii) Applicants should have experience in legal drafting, court proceedings, legal research and briefing Senior Counsel.
Responsibility :
(i) Conducting legal research.
(ii) Drafting, vetting and filing petitions, counter-affidavits, rejoinders, convenience compilations and other legal documents.
(iii) Briefing and assisting Senior Counsel.
(iv) Undertaking court-related work.
(v) Engaging with government officials.
(vi) Drafting policy documents.
(vii) Coordinating with external counsels.
(viii) Conducting research relating to animal protection, food safety, environmental and allied laws.
