Oil Mafia gets convicted for Criminal charges under special CBI Court

For alleged defamation of the Supreme Court & Andhra Pradesh HC Judges, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has booked 16 people. They are also booked for targeting and defaming the Indian Judiciary.

A Division Bench of the Andhra Pradesh High Court gave a direction; ordering the CBI to inquire into the matter. The cases were registered against the YSRCP leaders for their defamatory posts.

Cases of similar nature of allegations; investigated by the State Crime Investigation Dept. were clubbed by the CBI on Monday. Twelve (12) cases, in total were combined by the Central Agency. The accused persons have been booked under Sections 67 of the IT Act, 153A, 504, 505(2) & 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

16 accused persons have been identified and the 17th accused is yet unknown.

The Registrar General of Andhra Pradesh High Court made a complaint, following which the cases were registered. It was alleged that the posts on social media were even life-threatening and defamatory. Further, certain persons holding influential and prominent positions in the State made insinuations and allegations of the corrupt motive behind delivering judgments.
