Bar Association issues notice to Advocates over working at “Boycotted” courts

The show-cause notice is issued by the Mathura Bar association to five lawyers for working in the courts which are “boycotted” by the body.

Sushil Sharma, President, Bar Association of Mathura said that an explanation needs to be submitted by the five lawyers within three days.

To decide the future course of action, a meeting on November 09 has been called by the Working committee and Advisory committee, he added.

After one-day strike on November 05, the Bar has decided to boycott the CJM and ACJM first courts.

The unnecessary delay in Justice Delivery and harassing the members of the bar by these courts led to the decision of ban of courts, Bar said.

For allegedly working in the “boycotted” Courts, the official said notice was served to former joint secretary of the Mathura bar association L.K. Gautam, Senior Advocate Arjun Singh, Tejpal Singh, Badan Singh and Laik Singh.
