CJI SA Bode inaugurates “Nyay Kaushal”, Bombay HC’s e- resource centre

Chief Justice of India Justice SA Bobde and Justice (Dr.) DY Chandrachud (Justice & Chairman, e-Courts Committee, Supreme Court of India) today inaugurated ‘Nyay Kaushal’ – the first ever e-Resources Centre of the country at Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court.

The COVID 19 pandemic has shed light on how important technological facilities are, in terms of e- filing and video conferencing. This centre will allow access to the supreme courts, various high courts, taluka courts and even family and labour courts.

The project is a brain child of the e-Courts Committee of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice (Dr.) DY Chandrachud.

CJI Bobde also threw light on the plight of junior advocates who earlier had a chance to be noticed in court but now miss on that opportunity. Further, the lack of technology always persisted in the working of the courts and this centre would help in bridging it. Further, he also went on to include the possibility of ADR proceedings online and urged for Mobile Vans for e-filing to be made available for ADR filings too.
