About the Job :
Hirani & Associates is looking for a litigator to join our IP and Media & Entertainment practice. The role is built around trademark and copyright disputes, with a meaningful share of non-contentious Media & Entertainment work for lawyers who want exposure to both.
Eligibility :
(i) Advocate with 2–3 years PQE and hands-on experience in IP litigation and trademark prosecution.
(ii) Strong research, drafting and analytical skills
(iii) Good communication & court room assistance
(iv) Ability to handle multiple matters independently
(v) Strong drafting and analytical skills, genuine interest in the Media & Entertainment space, and the judgment to run matters independently.
Responsibility :
(i) Filing and prosecution of trademark and copyright applications
(ii) Handling opposition, rectification and related proceedings before the Trade Mark Registry
(iii) Drafting notices, pleadings, written submissions and other litigation-related documentation
(iv) Legal research, portfolio management and compliance with statutory deadlines.
(v) Drafting plaints, written statements, writ petitions, affidavits, appeals and related court pleadings.
(vi) Assisting in commercial agreements, advisory work and dispute resolution matters.
(vii) Appearances before the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Registry, District Courts and the High Court.
