About the Job :
SKPP is seeking candidates with mandatory prior experience in general corporate work and exposure to mergers and acquisitions, demergers, debt financing, or start-up advisory work.
Eligibility :
(i) LL.B. or an equivalent law degree from a recognised institution.
(ii) Two to three years of hands-on general corporate experience.
(iii) Prior exposure to mergers and acquisitions, demergers, debt financing, and start-up advisory work.
(iv) Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills.
(v) Client-facing skills, professional demeanour, and the ability to understand business objectives.
(vi) Ability to work effectively in teams and take direction from partners and senior lawyers.
(vii) Strong organisational and time-management skills.
(viii) Enrolment with the relevant Bar Council is preferred.
(ix) Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and staying updated on legal and industry developments.
Responsibility :
(i) Conduct legal research and analyse statutes, regulations, and case law.
(ii) Draft, review, and edit legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, opinions, and correspondence.
(iii) Communicate clearly with clients and understand their business objectives.
(iv) Work collaboratively with partners, senior lawyers, and team members.
(v) Manage multiple assignments while maintaining attention to detail and meeting organisational requirements.
