Netaji’s great grandniece who is national president of Hindu Mahasabha Rajyashree Chaudhuri has also filed a petition to become a party to the case filed earlier for the removal of a 17th century mosque from near the Krishna Janmasthan temple in Mathura. She informed the media that her organization will back the petitioner in favor of Hindu community. She said- “Not only Krishna Janmasthan, Kashi Vishwanath, Tejo Mahal (sic) are also on our agenda, claiming that the Eidgah adjacent to “Krishna’s birthplace is illegal”.
The court of Mathura admitted the plea seeking removal of the mosque situated adjacent to a Krishna temple in October, 2020.
The said suit was filed by Lucknow resident Ranjana Agnihotri and five others, including a Delhi resident. They claimed that the mosque was exactly where Krishna was born and so they have sought the ownership of the entire 13.37-acre land.
