The Supreme Court has informed on Friday that Advocates-on-Record Examination 2021 will be held on June 8, 9, 10, and June 11, 2021, in the Supreme Court premises. The notification issued on 26 March states that all the lawyers who have completed one year of continuous training on or before 30 April 2021 will be eligible to appear for the aforesaid examination. The applications of the advocates appearing for the examination have to reach the Secretary of the Board of Examiners by April 26, 2021. Applications can be obtained from the Office of the Secretary on any working day during office hours.
Candidates have been advised to strictly follow the advice and guidelines ensured by the Government of India and the Registry from time to time to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 epidemic. The Supreme Court last year ruled in Delhi to cancel the Advocates-on-Record Examination 2020 and postpone the same till June 2021 in view of the increase in COVID-19 cases. The Additional Registrar of Supreme Court Recruitment Cell had informed the order by sending a letter to the Supreme Court Bar Association.
