There has been ill-treatment for Republic Media Network Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami. On Sunday morning as he is being taken to the Taloja jail after being in a quarantine facility in Alibaug as a part of his judicial custody since Wednesday. While on his way he revealed shocking details of being assaulted again and said that his life was in danger.
He shouted in worry and said that “I am not being allowed to speak to my lawyers. I was pushed and assaulted this morning. They woke me up at 6am and said, ‘we won’t let you speak to your lawyers.’ My life is under threat.”
Arnab Goswami has been shouting to seek help from all the courts in India as his fundamental right of Legal Aid is being violated by the police officials. His police custody has been rejected. He said “I want Supreme Court to intervene.”
On the other hand, the question arises that is Arnab Goswami is dreaded terrorist or threat to the country? Why is he being shifted to Taloja Jail where gangsters like Abu Salem were kept? The jail also called Underworld Hub due to the prisoners kept there. This also creates a security concern for the life of Arnab for which he was shouting that “MY LIFE IS IN DANGER, HELP ME.”
