Delhi HC to hear plea about Delhi nurses’ salary

Delhi HC asked Delhi Police in case of FIR lodged against Indian associated with Tablighi Jamaat

The Delhi High Court last week, decided to hear the Delhi Nurses Union plea. This plea is seeking the release of all the nurses’ salaries from October 2020 onwards. A divisional bench comprising Chief Justice D.N. Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh will be judging the case through a video conference. The plea stated that the nurses in the Rajan Babu Institute of Pulmonary Medicine and Tuberculosis, have not been paid the monthly salary since October 2020. The plea also stated that it was considered absurd since the fight against the pandemic is still going on. All of the nurses are working vigorously in the detection of the virus while conducting many tests, home visits, contact tracing record maintenance, and so on. An earlier plea was able to get the nurses their pay from June to September of last year. However, the nurses have not been paid since October 2020. The case is being judged today, the 11th of January.
