A Delhi Court has recently sent climate change activist Disha Ravi to three days of judicial custody in connection with Framer Protests toolkit FIR. The order was passed by Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Aakash Jain called for Ms. Ravi to be in 3-day judicial custody after the five-day police custody expired. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju came to this Court session through a video conference.
During the Court session, Additional Public Prosecutor, Irfan Ahmed informed the Court that during interrogation, Ravi was avoiding the questions asked and shifted the blame to other co-accused who were Shantanu Muluk and Nikita Jacob. Adv. Ahmed also added that Shantanu Muluk will join to help the investigation on the 22nd. Advocate Siddharth Agarwal Who represents Ms. Ravi called for her release because the case diary was not being maintained as per the law and so raised the possibility of it being tampered with. The bail plea of Ms. Ravi will also be heard today by the Sessions Court.
