Madras HC is hearing a plea of Habeas Corpus where a husband is under detention of his wife. The plea was filed by the friend of detenu. He also alleged that his friend was in illegal custody of his wife.
The petition said that the detenu has been in illegal custody of his wife and she treats him as a drunkard. On which the respondents replied that the petitioner is the person who used to drink with her husband. She has also put him in an authorized de-addiction center to ensure.
After hearing the statements of both the parties the court while considering the condition of detenu said his life is in danger and has appointed the advocate commissioner to submit a report of the same after the enquiry from detenu, respondent and rehab center too.
