From the new Kharif marketing operation, more than 67,89,000 paddy farmers benefited

The Government stated that from the current Kharif Management season, more than 67 lakh and 89 thousand farmers have been benefited with Minimum Support Price (MSP) with value of over 98 thousand crore rupees.

Agriculture minister Shri Nagendra Singh Tomar said, the Government continues to obtain Kharif crop at its Minimum Support Price as per its current MSP schemes. States like Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, Gujrat, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Assam, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and West Bengal have obtained over 521 lakh tonnes of paddy.

Over 2 lakh 78 thousand tons of Moong, Groundnut Pod, Urad, and Soyabean benefitting more than 1 lakh 48 thousand farmers and obtained by the Government through nodal agencies.
