About the Internship :
Namami Law Offices is looking for a legal research intern to work with them remotely for 8 weeks minimum.
Eligibility :
(i) Open for Law students and recent graduates.
(ii) Understanding of IP fundamentals is preferred. Basic familiarity with IP Office practice such as public search, application status, examination reports, the forms, will put you ahead of most applicants.
(iii) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
(iv) Good written and verbal communication skills
(v) Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
(vi) Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity
Responsibilities:
(i) Filing and prosecution of trademark and copyright applications
(ii) Handling opposition, rectification and related proceedings before the Trade Mark Registry
(iii) Drafting notices, pleadings, written submissions and other litigation-related documentation
(iv) Legal research, portfolio management and compliance with statutory deadlines.
(v) Drafting plaints, written statements, writ petitions, affidavits, appeals and related court pleadings.
(vi) Assisting in commercial agreements, advisory work and dispute resolution matters.
(vii) Appearances before the Trade Marks Registry, Copyright Registry, District Courts and the High Court.
