Police to inquire on complaint against Kangana & sister Rangoli

Bombay HC granted Interim Protection to Actress Kangana Ranaut and her sister

A complaint against Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut & her sister Rangoli Chandel has been filed in Andheri Metropolitan Court for posting defamatory & objectionable statements on their social media accounts. With the fall of this the court ordered an inquiry u/s-202 of CrPC whether there is sufficient ground for proceeding with case or not.

The complained filed by Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh said that Kangana posted a video on social media platform against community and also Rangoli made a statement in April after which her Twitter account was suspended. He added that these acts were for personal gain publicity.

The court ordered for inquiry as the case was relating to social media posts and also the evidences are electronic, so, relevant certificates in accordance with Indian Evidence Act is necessary. Therefore inquiry by police is required which will decide the roles of accused. The court has asked for report in December.

Also, there was a complaint against Actress Kangana Ranaut & her sister Rangoli Chandel for “creating divisions between communities and spreading communal hatred” filed at Bandra Metropolitan Court.
