UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s Government to bring law against Love-Jihad, promises CM

UP Ordinance – Religious Conversion for Marriage is unlawful & criminalized under the law

While addressing a rally in Jaunpur for by-polls in UP. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath vowed that his government will make a law against “love jihad”.

What is love jihad? It is a term used to address the alleged campaign by the Muslim community converting women of Hindu religion on the pretext of marriage. Recent case of murder of a 21 year old hindu woman on refusing to convert to Islam and marry him by Tauseef (accused)  was alleged to be a matter of Love-Jihad by many; stirring up a heated debate.

Recently Allahabad Highcourt dismissed a petition and gave an order that religious conversion for marriage is unnecessary. Stating the same, the CM said using “Mission Shakti” and “Operation Satya” they will keep the dignity of women safe and protect them. Those not mending their ways will have their “ram naam satya hai” procession carried out.
