Delhi HC directs Jamia Milia to give Degree Documents to Law Graduate within 3 days

The Delhi High Court has directed Jamia Millia Islamia to give degree and other documents within three days to law graduates after graduate make online application.

The order is passed in the writ petition filed by the law graduate Mohd.Munis Siddique, through Advocate Harpreet Singh Hora and Himangi Kapoor. Bench of Justice Jayant Nath passed the order.

Plea stated that the petitioner couldn’t get enrolled in the Bar Council due to delayed actions of the University and petitioner had to suffer a loss because of the University fault. The petitioner also expressed grievance in the petition that the university has not given his mark-sheet, degree and other documents due to which he was losing his opportunities for higher education and employment.

It was informed on the final arguments to the court that, the University had only given Mark-sheet.

Counsel for University told that the petitioner needs to apply for online application after which degree will be made available to him.

The Court observed on disposing writ petition,

“If any compliance is to be done by the petitioner, the same shall be communicated by the respondent to the petitioner today itself. The respondent will ensure that necessary degree along with other documents be given to the petitioner within three days thereafter”
